It wasn't what it seemed,
that place
she conjured in her dreams,
real in the mind,
existing out of time,
a place she could touch,
if she allowed herself
to make it real.
More than imagination,
a need inside
she could turn into creation,
her vision entwined
the dreams she defined,
she could do it,
make it real,
if she applied the will inside.

About Christina Anne Hawthorne
Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.
