Christina Anne Hawthorne
Christina Anne Hawthorne
Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.

Burn
Fledgling flame, match to wick, to breed anew or split in two and live again, to touch the need that made her burn. Glowing power, silent heat, to yearn and learn and bare her soul, discovery a joyous journey that … Continue reading

Just Beyond

On the Eve of the Night
On the eve of the night, invading the forest in her gown, a piano’s echo calling, a single light beckoning, the dream that had become reality telling her she’d taken her longing too far. Candelabra flames wreathing immortal, she passed … Continue reading

Always and Always
Ever always wrapped in midnight, breathless shadows in a dying kiss. Eternal devotion ever after, a broken craving she brushed from her lips, one she shared with the embers in her hand. She echoed tears on piano keys, starless ebony … Continue reading

Eternal Holiday
There was as there ever was eternal starlight, kisses in the night, whispers to caress her ears, tender touch tracing comet tails upon her skin, upon a deepening love ever after. There was as she’d always dreamed late night loving, … Continue reading

A Holiday Gift
She gasped, took a breath, but there was no air. A touch, a single touch, a gentle touch. A single word, a word for her. Her name. She stared, but the rational world held no answers. A chill, a single … Continue reading

Happenstance
On the road to happenstance, electricity arcing, midnight sparks, guiding her every movement, showing her the way. It was a new circumstance, a scalding fire, shadows turning, flickering light, exploring a taste so sweet. At her fingertips a romance, two … Continue reading
