Christina Anne Hawthorne
Christina Anne Hawthorne
Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.

My Map Problem
Yes, my map problem, not to be confused with math problems. If it was that I wouldn’t be calm. Honestly, most writers wouldn’t consider my map problem a problem at all when they forego maps in the first place. Though … Continue reading

Pannulus Map
In my efforts to add my major maps to the Map tab I now arrive at Pannulus. I can think of the Tremjara map as my epic achievement. Carrdia, being my first map, has, like its name, become a piece … Continue reading
Carrdia Map
Here I am again talking about maps and adding another map to my map menu on the WP site. This week it’s Carrdia, the nation at the heart of the continent. This, everyone, is the first map I made for … Continue reading
Tremjara Map
After over a year I’ve realized that since moving back into my WP site that I never placed maps in the map menu. Whoops. So, it’s time to change that and a good place to start is with the largest … Continue reading
2021: Editing, Worldbuilding, and Maybe More
These are uncertain times, but my purpose in 2021 is anything but uncertain. That purpose includes editing and catching up on the worldbuilding I’ve ignored for too long. Apply myself and I’ll be that much closer to publication. The General … Continue reading

Make A Map for NaNoWriMo
Another year. Another NaNoWriMo. Another pitch urging writers to pen their fantasy novels with a map as an aid. Yes, here I go again talking about maps. Actually, to be more specific, your fantasy map. Your story takes on a … Continue reading

On the one hand, that book you’ve always wanted to read is about to be available. On the other hand, you have to write it. On the one hand, what you need to write that book, the perfect process, exists. … Continue reading
