Christina Anne Hawthorne
Christina Anne Hawthorne
Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.

The Shining City on the Hill
The shining city on the hill. She believed. For, the city was hope, hope for her, for those who came after. They told her it was a myth, a lie, a fairytale, especially, they said, for people like her. The … Continue reading

WHY?
Time, ticking. Lives slipping away. It’d been building for some time. Deep inside were the cries. She’d had enough. The questions she had were despised. Why? There was no answer. There could be NO answer. Why couldn’t we respect one … Continue reading

Holding Hope
Who was she that she should harbor possibilities? Why should she possess the hope others couldn’t see? Maybe, if she recorded her heart, set down her tales, maybe, it could be, what flowed from within would fill other hearts. What … Continue reading
