Christina Anne Hawthorne
Christina Anne Hawthorne
Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.

Whispers of love, smoke on fire, flames lighting her imagination, her hands untied. Truth’s invisible veil, rapture’s touch, finding a heart that was holding her tight, its answer burning. Passion breaths dancing, skin alight, truth ignited what hid in the … Continue reading

Breathing
Your breath, so slow, in and out, never could it disguise your skill at living. Inhales, exhales, in the evening, soothing in the minty coolness of night. Your breath, each breath, as I breathe, steals my senses, takes my breath … Continue reading

These Moments
Running in snow to my knees, I fell for you, cushioned in white. You leaning close for a kiss, a moment in bliss. Kissing in a fire shadow’s quiver, I fell for you, wrapped in fervor. Your hand reaching to … Continue reading

Chemical Reaction
Separate, they were elemental, drifting, waiting for a positive outcome. Together, they were a chemical reaction, a sum, greater than either was before. Each was essential to the bond, enjoying, what two together could do. ©February 2018, November 2020 Christina … Continue reading

Electrical Beings
Rushing into the storm, water splashing, sirens wailing a passionate refrain. Storm surge, a pole’s power, Roman candle sparks beckoning her desire. Waterfall lashes, his hand to her cheek, his lips to her lips in an electrical kiss. Energy, charging … Continue reading

Cover Me
We may be. One night you’ll cover me. It’s a vision, us, a fountain flowing, moonlight glowing. A gentle caress, a sizzling touch riding a wave, your pulse within me. A heart, my heart, you mending before I know I’m … Continue reading

Sonata
A clock’s whisper, its pendulum swinging. A candle’s flame dancing, swaying. Sonata Pathétique. Each movement moving my soul, no more need I know. Your touch upon the keys to my heart beating. Fire burning deep, deeper, awaiting release. Waiting, anticipating … Continue reading
