Christina Anne Hawthorne
Christina Anne Hawthorne
Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.

Were I to go through my drafted novels and list all the influences it’d require a lifetime. Quite often, I pull from multiple influences in the same paragraph. Just as my characters are composites, so too are my locations. This … Continue reading
Riparia
A child of the riverbank, of the river, the Sentinel, it was called. In a child’s mind there was no time, but time there was to learn to climb, and so she did, scaling the rock along the water’s edge. … Continue reading

Vistanna
She was the shade, she was the shadow, she harvested the twilight and the sunrise. She was half light, half darkness, existing in a place that was and never was. She wrote upon luminescence, the night sky her instrument, reveling … Continue reading

She’d languished in emotional oppression. When would it end? It was a question she always asked. She’d fought the longing, and longed to fight. Then it happened… waking with memories not her own and too many questions. Touched by magic, … Continue reading
