Owning Her Life

She was the owner of her life.
Why had it taken so long
to realize the truth?
It wasn't a question needing an answer,
it was a truth awaiting her actions.

"Can't" became a firm "won't."
She was no one's victim,
not even her own.
The dreamer of her dreams was her inspiration,
her inspiration worth following.

About Christina Anne Hawthorne

Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.
