Christina Anne Hawthorne
Christina Anne Hawthorne
Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.

Chemical Reaction
Separate, they were elemental, drifting, waiting for a positive outcome. Together, they were a chemical reaction, a sum, greater than either was before. Each was essential to the bond, enjoying, what two together could do. ©February 2018, November 2020 Christina … Continue reading

The Other Horizon
She’d made it. The dark tunnel was behind her, the other side before her where she could see the horizon, the sun. It meant, not that she’d arrived, but that she was growing, that there was far to go, much … Continue reading

Change in the Wind
The warmth of sunrise came with the weather change, the storm’s demise blowing back her mane. Years struggling fell behind her, galloping in the drying rain, her mount’s gaze upon the future, no stride in vain. Her faith in humanity … Continue reading
