She was the shade,
she was the shadow,
she harvested the twilight and the sunrise.
She was half light,
half darkness,
existing in a place that was and never was.
She wrote upon luminescence,
the night sky her instrument,
reveling in the beauty between black and white.
She wore a cloak of mystery,
held blinding truth,
a silhouette formed in sunlight and starlight.

*Vistanna is Vistanna Martavien, a character in Stealing Light, a novel I’m currently editing.

About Christina Anne Hawthorne

Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.
