My Accidental and Crucial Novel

At present I’m performing my first edit on Exhuming Truths, my accidental and unintentional story. It’s about two people who love the wrong people and are too blind to see who they really love. That’s the core story.

It’s also about a professor/researcher who’s life is coming apart and the assignment he believes might be his last. Then there’s the woman who’s lost everything and is clinging to last chances. Yeah, it’s about that, too.

In short, they’re broken people. It fits with the diverging character arcs. It also fits with the novel’s strange origins. Like I said, Truths was never supposed to exist.

Despite its present novel length, it was always my intention that one day it’d be offered as an extra with A River in Each Hand. After all, it was my work on River that spawned it.

Truths is a prequel. We (mostly) know what happens to these characters. There’s much that’s up in the air after the first two books. The prequel explains why. It isn’t until Bk3, So Others Might Remember, that it’s all resolved.

By then, there are more questions.

All right, let’s back a bit…

About Ontyre Passages

Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.
