Oh, the trials of blogging during NaNoWriMo when all that time you had in October seems to become mist and float away. To remedy that, each year I generally focus on the experience as it’s happening. It is, after all, in the forefront of my mind.

October 31, 2017

So, here I am drafting a blog post I won’t share for another 36 hours. Technically, Halloween remains, but the last trick-or-treater was at my door hours ago. For me (and so many others), it’s NaNo Eve. Huh, that’s catchy.

At this point, I’ve attached as much tradition to this evening as Christmas Eve, but this year there were some additional elements…
