Life Inspiration (Part 3)

Things are looking up. Literally.

This month’s visual journey of inspiration continues. Yes, this week’s theme is about looking up, about finding inspiration when we look in a direction we normally ignore. Why we tend to look the other way has a lot to do with conditioning and safety. After all, we’re all taught to watch where we’re going.

It’s a strange thing, though. When we look up and encounter a sight worth noting it often stops us in our tracks.

Some of these pictures I sought, I knew they’d occur and wanted to capture the moment. Others were happy circumstance. That matters less than my joy at having captured the sight. Our fascination with that glowing orb that’s in the sky each day is an entire topic all by itself. It’s ordinary and extraordinary at the same time. Yet, straightforward sunrises and sunsets, while obvious subject matter, aren’t nearly the entirety of this post.

As always, clicking on a picture brings up a larger version if you’re so inclined. Please enjoy, but more importantly, please find the inspiration you seek, either in one picture, several pictures, or in looking up—wherever you are.

About Ontyre Passages

Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.
