Come the Twilight

I am but one star
lonely in these heavens
dwindling in the light I cast
where time used is the life I live
and time ahead is to live the dream,
a modest dream reserved for a quiet life
to balance spending years yearning to shine,
spent hoping for sufficient time come the twilight
when this humble star would shine enough to share.

About Ontyre Passages

Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.
