Zombie Mouse Hunter

Deathly green mice, blue mice, too
evil mice up to no good
camouflaged in hues.

Fiendish mice lacking a lair
lurking in the darkest places,
amassing on the stairs.

Mice killed dead each night
revive in stillness
and haunt at first light.

Demonic mice don’t remain dead
after losing hair and tails,
and after losing their heads.

Zombie mice, attacking at a motionless scamper
would surely inflict death
if not for the feline hunter.

About Ontyre Passages

Alive and well in the Rocky Mountains. I'm a fantasy writer who also dabbles in poetry, short stories, and map making. My Ontyre tales are an alternative fantasy experience, the stories rich in mystery, adventure, and romance. Alternative fantasy? Not quite steampunk. Not quite gothic. In truth, the real magic is in those who discover what's within.
